CJN27. A Pair of BR ex- GWR Royal Mail 57ft Corridor Sorting/Stowage Postal Vans. In BR/Royal Mail maroon livery. These are Nos. W793W and W795W to GWR Diagram L21 and are probably from Westdale metal kits. They both started as collecting vans but W795 was later converted to a stowage van with the removal of the nets. The prototypes were into service with the GWR in November 1933, part of an order for 17 vans which replaced the earlier clerestory vehicles. They were displaced from the ex- GWR lines in 1959 and moved to the London Midland region for use on the 'West Coast Postal'. £600 for the Pair.
