LMF19. BR ex- LNER Gresley Class J39 0-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 64909. In BR lined black with early crest and shedplate 36A Doncaster. This is from a Connoisseur brass kit built by George Davison and probably painted by Graham Jakes (Jacques?). Fitted with what looks like a Slaters motor/gearbox, Slaters wheels, pickups on one side of the loco and the opposite side of the tender, and with excellent cab detail and crew. The model is lightly used. The motor/gearbox combination is a touch noisy and the motor is wired positive to negative (so 'forward' on the controller is 'reverse' and vice versa). The prototype was into service from Beyer Peacock Ltd to Gorton shed in September 1936 as LNER No. 1854. It became No. 4909 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme thence BR No. 64909. It was withdrawn from Doncaster in April 1961 having been there since 1946. £695.
