LJWN40. LNER ex- Great Northern Railway Gresley Class N2 0-6-2 Tank Loco No. 1745. In LNER lined apple green livery. This is kitbuilt in brass from a Rising Star kit and fitted with a Mashima motor, worm & wheel drive, Slaters wheels and a compensated chassis. This is a used model which has no cab detail and no backhead, and which requires rear buffer heads and a front coupling. The prototype was into service from North British Locomotive Company, Glasgow, in February 1921 as No. 1745. It was renumbered by the LNER to No. 4745 in 1924 and renumbered again in 1946 to No. 9524 (later becoming BR No. 69524). It was withdrawn from Edinburgh St. Margarets in January 1963 but up to 1959 had been a long-term Kings Cross loco. £395.
