CDS113. A LNER Gresley 'Quad-Art' Articulated Four Coach Rake. In LNER teak livery. This is Set No. 91 built by Cravens in 1928/1929 and comprises (1) 38ft Brake/ThirdNo. 47741 to Diagram 72A. (2) 38ft All Third No. 47742 to Diagram 73A. (3) 43ft 6in All Third No. 47743 to Diagram 74A. (4) 43ft 6in All Third No. 47744 to Diagram 75A. These were scratchbuilt by Fred Newman who was a well known name and prolific coach builder in the 1980's and 1990's. His bodies were made from heavy duty card then impregnated with Shellac to give rigidity and a smooth surface to paint. Bogies are of whitemetal. The models have had medium use. £350 for the Rake of Four.
