LJGR01. BR(W) Class 52 ‘Western’ Diesel Hydraulic No. D1007 ‘Western Talisman’. In BR maroon livery with small yellow warning panels. This is by Masterpiece Models with a host of features including synchronised drive to all six axles, working roof fans, directional lighting and highly detailed cab interiors with a driver and secondman fitted at one end. Also fitted with DCC and sound using an ESU Loksound chip (address 1007). The model is very lightly used (mainly for display purposes) and supplied in its original box with instructions and plinth. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works to Plymouth Laira in August 1962 and was withdrawn from Laira in January 1974. However it also had spells allocated to Old Oak Common, Swansea Landore and Cardiff Canton. From the class of 74 locos the last five withdrawals were in February 1977 all surviving into preservation along with two others which had already been saved. £2995.
