LAO02. BR ex-LNER ex- North Eastern Railway Worsdell Class J71 0-6-0 Tank Loco No. 68286. In lined LNER-style apple green with BR shedplate 50A York, in the livery of the York Station Pilot. This is kitbuilt from a Connoisseur brass kit and fitted with a Mashima motor, single stage gearbox, compensation on the centre axle, Slaters wheels and very good cab detail with crew. It has a removable roof. The model is lightly used and the gearbox is a touch noisy. The prototype was into service from Darlington Works in July 1892 as NER No. 237. It became No. 8286 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme and subsequently BR No. 68286. It was withdrawn from York as early as June 1952. £395.
