KDBR06. Steve Beattie Kit for LMS/BR Prototype Type 1 Bo-Bo Diesel No. 10800. The prototype loco, designed for mixed traffic work, was ordered by the LMS in 1946 but not delivered by the North British Locomotive Company until after the transition to BR, in 1950. My understanding is that Steve Beattie produced some initial examples of this kit but never actually put the kit into his range. Supplied with instructions, a pair of twin-shaft motors similar to Mashima 1833's, and a set of Markits BR buffers. Note that most etchings have not been unwrapped, and wheels/gearboxes are not included. As a pre-owned kit I am unable to give a guarantee of completeness and the contents have not been checked, however I am not aware of any issues (but if only a very few kits were produced there could be shortages). £250.
