LGS17. Gauge '1' Model of GWR Churchward 'Saint' 4-6-0 and Tender No. 2902 'Lady of the Lake'. In lined GWR green with 'twin cities' crest as used circa 1927/28 to 1934. Built to ‘Standard Gauge 1’ (ie 10mm to the foot). This is a scratchbuilt model in brass and fitted with a large can motor, a multi-stage heavy duty gearbox, solid cast wheels, American pickup system and good cab detail. The model is lightly used. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in May 1906. By 1935 it was allocated to Swindon shed, moving to Leamington Spa by 1947 from where it was withdrawn in August 1949. No. 2902 was the first loco to work what became the famous GWR 2 hour Birmingham to London expresses, in July 1910. £1495.
