LRWL01. BR ex- LNER Thompson Class B1 4-6-0 and Tender No. 61003 ‘Gazelle’. In lined early BR apple green as running circa 1948/1949 with ‘British Railways’ in full on the tender, and shedplate 30F Parkeston Quay. This is a DJH factory produced model from their own kit and fitted with a multi-stage gearbox probably with DJH’s own type of motor, Slaters wheels and superb cab detail. This is a substantial model which is very lightly used and supplied in a plain red box. The prototype was into service from Darlington Works to Darlington Shed in November 1943 as LNER No. 8304. It became LNER No. 1003 in the 1946 renumbering scheme and subsequently BR No. 61003. It was withdrawn from Colwick in December 1965 having been at Parkeston Quay from 1947 to 1958. £1495.
