LJMA72. Markham (Chesterfield) 0-4-0 Saddle Tank. Semi-open cab version. This is from an Agenoria kit, in bare brass (Agenoria reference 39/7). Fitted with a small Mashima motor, worm & wheel drive, Slaters wheels and very good cab detail. With Coal bunkers on the running plate. This is a well built model which is test run only. The roof is removable and the backhead is not yet fixed (to enable easier painting). Markham of Chesterfield only built around 20 locos, of which 'Gladys' (built 1894) is the only standard gauge survivor (there is a 3ft 6in gauge vertical boiler loco preserved in Australia). 'Gladys' worked at the Staveley Coal & Iron Company from 1894 to 1965 and is now preserved at the Midland Railway Centre. RESERVED.
