LDS007. BR ex- LMS Stanier 'Jubilee' 4-6-0 and Tender No. 45678 'De Robeck'. In lined BR green with late crest, weathered motion, and shedplate 5A Crewe North. This is scratchbuilt in brass and fitted with a Buhler motor, worm and wheel drive, solid cast wheels, and with good cab detail and crew. This is an older well used model with some paint touchups and the worm and wheel drive is a little noisy as is often the case with this type. The prototype was into service from Crewe Works to Carlisle Upperby in December 1935 as LMS No. 5678 becoming BR No. 45678 in 1948. It was withdrawn from Stockport Edgeley in December 1962 having had 4 spells at Crewe North during its BR life. Sir John De Robeck was a distinguished Royal Navy officer in the early years of the 20th century, becoming Admiral of the Fleet. PRICE REDUCTION TO £595.
